Kenneth Fenchel is Co-Founder and CEO of IPRCM and IPMSO (Independent Practice Management Services Organization), a consulting and services group he Co-Founded with Susanne Morgana Brennan to help independent practices stay independent by offering solutions to the complex problems that they face on a day to day basis.
Prior to founding the Independent Practice MSO he was employed by Sandhills Pediatrics and the South Carolina Pediatric Alliance for 25 years, first as the Practice Administrator then the Chief Operating Officer. Over the course of his career he guided the group through meaningful use certification, two different EMRs, PCMH level III certification, a practice acquisition, and then a group without walls merger with another large practice. At his departure, after the merger, the alliance included 10 locations with 39 providers.
Previous to his time in Practice Administration, Ken served in the U.S. Army for 21 years, retiring as a PA. While in the Army he served as clinical director and chief medical officer at multiple facilities around the world providing health care to members of the U.S. Armed Services. He also spent 4 years at the U.S. Army Academy of Health Sciences as an adjunct professor in the Medicine and Surgery Division. With a BA and MA in Health Care Management and a Physician’s Assistant degree, Ken brings to the table his formal training in management and medicine along with 46 years of practical experience to provide solutions to problems in today’s ever changing health care field.
Susanne Morgana Brennan is Co-founder and President of IPRCM and IPMSO, and Founder of The Verden Group (2007, now under IPMSO), creating these business to help independent practices navigate through the increasingly complex business of healthcare.
Her career has spanned across several sections of the healthcare industry, including working on the Payer side (UnitedHealthcare) in the area of physician network management, working as an independent healthcare consultant specializing in business development, revenue cycle remediation, vendor management and process improvement, and as a serial entrepreneur building entities within the independent practice market.
Formerly a practice administrator and billing manager, she understands the many different processes involved in meeting the challenges facing practices today.
With an MBA in both Management Systems and Information & Communication Systems, she has applied her formal learning to understanding the principles of knowledge management and how information can be transformed into comprehension at all levels with the right facilitation, utilizing the culmination of her knowledge to inform, transform and reform the business of healthcare today.
Susanne writes frequently and speaks regularly on the business aspects of healthcare and is frequently quoted in industry and media publications.
As a seasoned healthcare operations leader, Kymberli specializes in optimizing billing processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving operational efficiencies. With years of experience in revenue cycle management (RCM), Kymberli is dedicated to streamlining processes, leading high-performing teams, and creating policies that align with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
She has a proven track record of developing and implementing policies that enhance billing workflows and improve overall performance. Her approach combines strong communication, organizational expertise, and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS standards, and hospital medical staff bylaws. She is passionate about analyzing data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency.
In addition to policy development, Kymberli led teams focused on maximizing revenue, claims management, payments, and other critical RCM functions. By fostering collaboration across departments and ensuring all team members adhere to best practices, she is committed to achieving consistent results that support the financial health of the organization.
Tiffany Lauria has been an integral part of the team since the founding of the first company back in 2007. With a background in nursing and Clinical Research Coordination and Management, Tiffany is well versed in the mechanics of clinical practices and best work practices across the spectrum of healthcare delivery.
She is currently our Credentialing Director, overseeing a team of credentialing specialists engaged with both our start up practices (under IPMSO) and heloing to maintain credentialing for our many established clients too.
In addition, Tiffany works with our start up and super group practice clients, assists with regulatory issues and provides support across our business platforms.
